I'm thinking about buying these Salon products. I've had a problem with my hair being frizzy, alot of flyaways (gel doesnt work Idk why), dry and coarse. I used Conditioners but they never work. After 2 hours, my hair drys up and turns hard again. I used a deep conditioner and the same thing happens. Is it because Im using products from the drug store? Do the conditioners from Lush Cosmetics conditioner keep my hair soft all day? If there are other salon products that helped you, can you tell me which ones?Lush Cosmetics?
I am a huge believer in LUSH. American cream is their best seller for conditioners. When you use it in the shower it feels as though it is not working, and same when you comb through your hair, but when it dries it is AMAZING! Your hair will feel so soft, and smells soo good!

Most face masks contain shell powder, this is not good for your skin as it causes pre-mature ageing, shell powder is not contained in LUSH face masks, The small is lush, it isn't too sticky and it is also vegan. Lush does not believe in animal testing. It is packed with minerals, the packaging is fabulous and it is not very costly. WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT?

I am a Lush addict! I found them about 10 years ago in Toronto when there were no locations in the US. I would say they are quite stable and 100% legit. I have shopped with them both in-store and online. Every store I have visited has had the nicest and most enthusiastic employees. Not often, they tend to reduce prices on certain items (or introduce limited edition cheaper items) on special occasions, i.e. Christmas.
If you buy a gift package, you do get a discount voucher, I know that much.
If you have a snoop around Retrolush there's quite a few cheap classics.

I've seen people say on here that when they purchased like 20 dollars or over on lush products in their stores, that they've gotten freebies with it. Well I went into a lush store for the first time in my life today, cause I live over 200 miles from it. Anyways, since I live so far away, I bought about 55 dollars worth of products so I'd be stocked for awhile, and I got NOTHING for free along with it. Lush Soaps and Cosmetics?
I bought there 9 soap wall, and i have know idea which is which!! i lost the card so im not sure!! can anyone explaine??? start from the green one and move over? help!Lush Soaps and Cosmetics?
I am going to go left to right form the green one.
The green one is Sea Vegetable. It is a really nice Lavender and lime scent. It has sea salt and seaweed in there for some exfoliation.
The next one is Rock Star it is a sweet soda shop type of scent! It melts really easily, but it smells great!!! Sometimes it has a gold star in the middle.
The next one is Sexy Peel it is a lemon scent! It is great! It has little pieces of dried lemon peel in there! It is great!
Then next one is porridge. It is an oatmeal breakfast type of scent. It has pieces of real oats in there. The oats help exfoliate a bit.
Next is the Godmother soap. It is a fruity refreshing, light, and wonderful scent! MY FAVORITE! It lathers wonderfully and is just an overall great soap!
Then comes Ice Blue. It is a peppermint scent with real chunks of sea salt in it. This is good for some exfoliation.
Then is Karma. A strong, deep, scent. It is spicy orange, lemongrass, and pine.
I Should Coco. A pina colada soap with real coconut pieces. And a hint of lemon and orange. This softens your skin.

I went to lush today, which I was really excited about because I've been checking them out online for sooo long! I had to buy Coalface, and I'm happy I got it, but I didn't realize they didn't charge just a standard price for their products, they were all different... But I found the cheapest chunk of coal face.. and it was still $14.76
I dont get it, they advertise it as $10 or something...
But I also got two samples and my boyfriend got a shower jellie....

Lush sells its products the same way you buy them in a deli -- by weight. Coal Face is 10 dollars per 100 grams. You can request the person working behind the counter for a smaller piece, and they can cut it for you, or you can select one of the pre-wrapped items.
The people behind the counters really don't mind cutting you something fresh (and while the products are supposed to be checked for freshness and re-wrapped or scrapped if they're old, things can get overlooked), but make sure that the sales associate isn't busy.
Coal Face is good, but avoid your eyes and mouth as it can be very drying. If you find the texture too rough, I recommend lathering it in your hands with water instead of applying directly on to the face.
DO NOT use this every day unless you have severe acne. It's a good one for a particularly messy make-up day or when you have a break-out.
I just store mine on the bathroom counter. Because it's a solid item, it should be able to stay fresh for several months, but you won't go through it very fast. I would say toss it after one year. I love their: American cream conditioner (someone asked after I used it if i put perfume in my hair), Angels on Bare skin cleanser, Catastrophe Cosmetic Mask, Gorgeous Moisturizer, Enchanted eye cream, Lemony Flutter cuticle cream, Grease Lightning acne spot treatment, and their Cosmetic Lad moisturizer.
All their cosmetics are really well formulated and effective (provided your using the right ones for your skin type)
If you're oilier the dark angels, coal faceor herbilism cleanser are good. The tea tree toner, and Enzymion or Vanishing cream moisturizer might be better for your skin. The mask of magnanimity is also a good product for you.
If you're dry the baby face, aqua marina, angels on bare skin, or ultra bland cleansers are for you, the eau du roma water toner, and Skin's Shangrila or Skin drink moisturizer might suit.
If you're sensitive the baby face, aqua marina, ultra bland or fresh farmacy cleansers, the breath of fresh air toner or the vitamin E toner tab, and Celestial moisturizer are wonderful

The Floating Islands and Melting Marshmallow Monent bath melts are super yummy too.
Shame it all costs a bit much!

Sales Associate Job at Lush cosmetics?
So, long story short (well, somewhat), I went into Lush the other day buying Henna for my hair. While being rung up, the manager and I where talking about her job, and then it got into how I was looking for seasonal employment. She was extremely excited and asked me to come in for an interview, yesterday was my interview and all through out the interview she couldn't stop saying how much she liked me. She didn't offer me the job but made it pretty clear that I made a good impression. My question is, I just got a job at Wells Fargo and that requires me to work 30 hours a week (Mon/Wed or Tue/Thur and Fri/Sat). I always take Sundays off because that's my family day. I was wondering if it would be possible to only work at Lush two days out of the week, either Mon/Wed or Tue/Thur and do full hours those two days (6-8 hours) and have her still want to hire me. She already knows that I have another job, I'm really good in customer service, professionally I have a year and a half experience in customer service, retail, and cash handling. I don't need this job, but the extra money would be nice for the holidays, and I've always wanted to work in a store like that around Christmas time. What do you think?

How amazing is Lush cosmetics :O?
Hey, i was always a little cautious of going in the store. Thinking ';wow, it smells amazing but i mean why would you sell soap like a cake where you have to cut chunks off? Its just over rated';. I know ridiculous isn't it. But i really do know how amazing that place is now ive been in there!. I bought ';I should coco soap'; Which smells great, like coco-nutty yet soft, if you get me?, and its so pretty :) haha. a ';pop in the bath bubble bar'; Which smells lovely, very unique smell, and ';heavenly bodies butter-cream'; Which smells good enough to eat, and after just testing it on the back of my hand in the store today, about 5 hours ago my hand is soo soft!. Oh and I also bought a ';choccy egg bath bomb'; it being easter and all. And it smelt divine :D. Whats your favorite thing from lush? Just wondering as i;m bored and have been thinking about. I was very tempted to buy the ';Rock star soap'; any suggestions? Be nice to hear from you :).How amazing is Lush cosmetics :O?

I've tried I Should Coco...it was nice, just really, really coconuty haha. Like, coconut flakes everywhere when you use it. Heavenly Bodies really is heavenly, it reminded me of dark chocolate w/ orange and it made me so soft. Try putting it in the fridge before you use it. I've also tried Rock Star soap, which i loved! It has a sort of vanilla-y scent that reminds me of the plastic McDonald's Happy Meal toys used to be made out of. Kind of strange, but it was nostalgic to me. Others don't like the plastic-like smell. It's really just up to personal preference.
I've tried over fifteen things from Lush, easily. I particularly love the Mange Too and Soft Coeur massage bars, Sea Vegetable soap, and the Ma bubble bar.How amazing is Lush cosmetics :O?
I really like the Vitamin C toner tab - I makes my skin look so healthy

LUSH cosmetics make me sick!?
Even just walking past the lush store, I get a headache. Being in the store is even worse! I have recieved lush products for a present from a friend, and didn't use them because the smell gave me a headache. However, these were highly scented products...I got bath bombs (the only product I COULD use without getting a headache because it didn't have a strong smell), lotion, body wash, lipgloss. All except the bath bombs gave me a headache! Now, I love lush because of their natural products and I would love to buy myself a solid shampoo bar and a solid conditioner bar for my hair. However, I'm worried that they will also give me a headache. I've never smelled them, so I don't know how strong they are. But, I figure they would be quite a bit like the bath bombs, which didn't give me a headache. Anyone tried the shampoo/conditioner bars? What do you think of them? Okay today I recieved my first order from Lush cosmetics. I ordered 4 body soaps. It was my first time ordering from them. I had to do it online because there isn't a lush near my house. Okay, back to the point. Then soaps aren't what I expected them to be. I guess it's the kind of thing that you either love it or hate it. I wanna sell them. I've only unwrapped them to smell them, other that there just like I recieved them. Here's what i ordered:

I've never tried to freeze them...only because I prefer to use them fresh, but the Lush assistants should be able to help you there. The solid shampoos are brilliant..and last for ages if you let them dry and then put them away. Hi I have only tried the fresh face mask once and I was allergic to it lol, im not sure weather you can freeze them so its best to ask. but as for the shampoo bars they are fantastic, I love the 2in1 godiva shampoo bar it makes hair really soft and very shiny. Mine lasted a while but because I didnt leave it out to dry each time I used it I just put it in a pot and shut the lid it all went mancky and brown lol, So i think it wise to buy on of the tins lush do for the shampoo bars as well and let it dry first before you put it back in the tub, it might stick to the tin but I still use my ultimate shine one whist in the tin and I get a lather.
I have also go the hybrid one thats good but not as good as godiva.
Have you tried the bubble bars I love the comforter and I also love rockstar soap.
iv never tried the face masks but iv tried the shampoo bars and they last for aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages, iv had mine for months and its still practically the same size as when i bought it, it makes your hair really foamy as well, if you no wat i mean, i get the one with the bits of glitter in it to make my hair shiny and it works really well

I have never thought of freezing the masks the assistants are helpful they will help u with that. As for the shampoo bars they are amazing they last way longer than a regular bottle of shampoohealthy hair

I've never tried to freeze them...only because I prefer to use them fresh, but the Lush assistants should be able to help you there. The solid shampoos are brilliant..and last for ages if you let them dry and then put them away. Yes I love LUSH!! Their honey trap lip balm is amazing and all of their bath bombs smell so awesome!!! I also really love the dream cream lotion, it smells like fresh herbs and lavendar!!! Go into the store and look around and you will find so many amazing things!!!!

I'm looking for a store just like Lush, that carries mostly natural products. I have really sensitive skin, and it seems only the products from Lush doesn't break me out. Aveeno, and such all give me horrible rashes for some reason. :-/

They tend to like people who can be loud and outgoing, who have an ease with customers. Someone who is a go getter and a team player and willing to learn about the products.
It's a very fun place to work at! It is hard work. You have to learn about all the products, the knowledge of the products, what's in them, the stories behind them, etc.
Send your resume to the store you'd like to work at. Call and ask if they received it (they like knowing you're hungry for the job). Research LUSH. Know some of the products before your interview (very important) and be willing to sell them to customers at your interview. If you got an interview and would still like the position, make sure you call the person and let them know how much you liked the interview and how hard you're willing to work. Sell them on why you'd make a most excellent SA.

Another of my favorites would have to be the Godmother soap! It is fruity and refreshing and wonderful! It lathers really well and has a smell that lasts! You will love it as a hand soap and a shower soap! It is one of my favorite (and I MEAN FAVORITE) soaps! The scent is light and amazing!
Another one of my favorite products is the Comforter bubble bar! It is also a fruity scent with a hint of vanilla! It make GIANT bubbles and makes the water in your tub pink! It makes your skin SSSSOOOOO soft! I'm not kidding! You feel so soft and smooth it's crazy!
The sugar scrub is wonderful too! It is a little rough, but it makes your skin soft and smell good!

I absolutely LOVE Lush products. Their products are great for my sensitive skin, and their philosophy is wonderful as well. My favorite product is the Honey I Washed the Kids soap. My husband likes the Coalface complexion bar. Since he's used it, his face has been flawless.
So to answer your question, the products do work and are worth every penny.

Does Lush Cosmetics Carry Mud Masks?
First of all, I have oily combintion skin(oily in the t-zone, dry in my cheeks) and I was wondering what kind of face mask I should be using?

Lush does in fact carry face masks! It has eight of them! The best ones oily/dry skin would have to be...
Well one of them is the Cosmetic Warrior. It pervents spots and helps to get rid of oily skin. It is made of grapes, and honey to cool off the face. Then it has garlic and tea tree to helps reduce any redness that you might have have! I really like this one.
The next one is Love Lettuce. It has china clay and fullers earth to clense it, then it has honey and lavender to soothe it, and finally ground almonds to exfoliate!
If you decide that you don't want a face mask look into the facial clensers, they might be even better than a face mask to get rid or dry and oily skin.
Dark angles is especially for oily skin. It helps to absorbs all the excess skin to leave it soft and exfoliated.
Also, fresh faramcy is good to remove makeup!
If you start to look into toner waters, Tea tree water and Eua Roma water would be great for your skin!
Lush does not carry mud masks, but they do carry the Cupcake Face Mask which has a type of mud in it. Many of the masks have clay in them!

They don't carry mud masks, but in store (not advertised online) they have cold masks that come in a variety of different types--from chocolate to seaweed. I have one called BB Seaweed that I use 1-2 times a week and it has completely controlled the oily on my face while getting rid of about 80% of my acne. If you go to your local store, the clerks should really help identify which of the masks (I think there are 7 types) will work for you.
Not quite sure which Lush mask would be best for oily/combo skin, but Lush makes wonderful face masks. They don't sell them online because they are so fresh. When I lived in Phoenix I would call the store ahead of time, because from the time of shipment to the store you only get three weeks to use the product - then it expires. So you want to get the most time out of them. I used to use the Brazened Honey and Chocolate mask and could tell a difference in my skin immediately after. The Brazened Honey especially. I could just feel it sucking all the dirt and oil from my skin - it was great. Definitely give them a whirl - I recommend their masks all the time and I am a product junkie. Never had a mask as good as theirs. Good luck!

Lush does in fact carry face masks! It has eight of them! The best ones oily/dry skin would have to be...
Well one of them is the Cosmetic Warrior. It pervents spots and helps to get rid of oily skin. It is made of grapes, and honey to cool off the face. Then it has garlic and tea tree to helps reduce any redness that you might have have! I really like this one.
The next one is Love Lettuce. It has china clay and fullers earth to clense it, then it has honey and lavender to soothe it, and finally ground almonds to exfoliate!
If you decide that you don't want a face mask look into the facial clensers, they might be even better than a face mask to get rid or dry and oily skin.
Dark angles is especially for oily skin. It helps to absorbs all the excess skin to leave it soft and exfoliated.
Also, fresh faramcy is good to remove makeup!
If you start to look into toner waters, Tea tree water and Eua Roma water would be great for your skin!
Lush does not carry mud masks, but they do carry the Cupcake Face Mask which has a type of mud in it. Many of the masks have clay in them!

They don't carry mud masks, but in store (not advertised online) they have cold masks that come in a variety of different types--from chocolate to seaweed. I have one called BB Seaweed that I use 1-2 times a week and it has completely controlled the oily on my face while getting rid of about 80% of my acne. If you go to your local store, the clerks should really help identify which of the masks (I think there are 7 types) will work for you.
Not quite sure which Lush mask would be best for oily/combo skin, but Lush makes wonderful face masks. They don't sell them online because they are so fresh. When I lived in Phoenix I would call the store ahead of time, because from the time of shipment to the store you only get three weeks to use the product - then it expires. So you want to get the most time out of them. I used to use the Brazened Honey and Chocolate mask and could tell a difference in my skin immediately after. The Brazened Honey especially. I could just feel it sucking all the dirt and oil from my skin - it was great. Definitely give them a whirl - I recommend their masks all the time and I am a product junkie. Honey I Washed the Kids soap is one of my (and my boyfriend's) all time favorites! It's not creamy like Rock Star, it has a lighter texture and probably lasts a little bit longer. The smell is seriously amazing, just like sweet, sugary honey and stays on your hands or body all day. Lovely!
Creamy Candy has a similar scent to Rock Star, but in bubble bath form. You might want to switch one of these choices to get more variety, but they still are different. Creamy Candy is a little more sugary, while Rock Star is a stronger and a little more bitter scent, so I would say maybe trade Rock Star if you're looking for something different. But they're both great, honestly, and I bet you will love them both!
Sakura is very different, and you will love this too. It's a cherry blossom scent. A little bit of citrus, and a little bit of sweet. It's not very strong, like some of the other bath bomb scents.
Make sure you use the two different bath products right and don't get them confused. The bath bombs (Sakura) are dropped into the water and fizz. They are natural and safe for kids, and the baking soda in them will soften and deodorize your skin. The bubble bars (Creamy Candy) need to be broken up under running bath water. I like to rub them together in my hands and let them break off a little at a time instead of making large chunks. It makes more bubbles that way! :)
If I could recommend another product, I would say Porridge soap is an all-around favorite. It has real oats and molasses in it, which is way cool. It honestly smells like warm, sugary porridge or oatmeal, and the oats softly and naturally exfoliate your skin. It's very creamy and looks milky when you use it.

I was looking at Honey I Washed the Kids, Sultana of Soap, Porridge and Rockstar (just for the smell!...lame i know i know)....which soap is the best for extremely dry skin.

Porridge is an awesome exfoliator, I use it on elbows, knees and feet everyday. Honey I Washed The Kids is my favorite and not as drying. The Smoothies are best for really dry skin. You should got to your GP and tell them you suffer from dry skin. They should recommend a cream called Diprobase which you put on your skin everytime you have a bath. You could also try something called Emulsifying ointment which you use instead of your usual soap.

Unfortunately you get minimum wage but there are some fantastic bonus schemes and an awesome discount. Hours vary from store to store and you usually don't get full time but all the stores I've worked in have been very flexible.
They also provide excellent training days for their staff and genuinely care about staff opinions. I would advise you hand a c.v into the branch your interested in but don't expect much this time of year-if any shops were looking for people they would probably have kept on some of their Christmas staff.

Lush cosmetics - how do you store them?
I am totally addicted to Lush cosmetics, the only problem I find is how to store them - at the moment they are all tied up in plastic baggies, but this is crap.

I used to store mine in a gift bag that I got one xmas someone got me a prezzie and I just put all my Lush Stuff in it to carry upstairs in and I kind of stuck with it. The my husband bought me a hat box which was big enough to store every bit of my Lush in, Until I got more lol and then the best thing is to put in your bathroom or bed room one of the plastic storage slidy draw things on wheels, and have a draw for each bit of Lush stuff you have. Plastic containers with the seals are always good too, but quite hard to find somewhere to put out of the way.
So I would have one draw for bathboms and soaps, others for showergels and bubbles etc.
Ive asked this question before on the Lush Forum, and most people say they store them still in there bags in there draws so this makes there clothes smell nice, and also in tubs in the wardrobe or something, just so there out of the way and kept in the dark and fresh, But if you like me and got so much stuff that you dont have the room then storage boxes are always good.

I know exactly what you mean. I had to purchase a massage bar tin for my Shimmy Shimmy bar, because it kept going everywhere. My bubble bars, I tend to just keep them in the paper bag they came in if I haven't used all of it, same goes for my bath bombs, just keep it in the yellow paper bag. I keep my soaps in a soap tray I've got, and my shower jelly is in the plastic tub they give you. My bathroom cupboard is full of their products so I know how you feel.
So do I, I love the stuff, Don't buy too much at once, buy a plastic fridge container and put them in that. Leave them in the fridge, thats were mine are.
With them being made with fresh ingredients they are likely to go off quickly anywhere else.

I used to store mine in a gift bag that I got one xmas someone got me a prezzie and I just put all my Lush Stuff in it to carry upstairs in and I kind of stuck with it. The my husband bought me a hat box which was big enough to store every bit of my Lush in, Until I got more lol and then the best thing is to put in your bathroom or bed room one of the plastic storage slidy draw things on wheels, and have a draw for each bit of Lush stuff you have. Plastic containers with the seals are always good too, but quite hard to find somewhere to put out of the way.
So I would have one draw for bathboms and soaps, others for showergels and bubbles etc.
Ive asked this question before on the Lush Forum, and most people say they store them still in there bags in there draws so this makes there clothes smell nice, and also in tubs in the wardrobe or something, just so there out of the way and kept in the dark and fresh, But if you like me and got so much stuff that you dont have the room then storage boxes are always good.

I love all the bath and shower products from lush and saw some hairgels when I was in the shop today and I like the idea of using something natural and not full of chemicals on my hair. Their bath bombs are great. You can't go wrong with any of those. The shower jellies are really interesting. It's like a jello jiggler of body wash. Kind of fun!
I use Fresh Farmacy face soap, Angels on Bare Skin exfoliator, and Enzymion moisturizer on my oily and sensitive skin. I love all of those products and would die if they were ever discontinued.What LUSH Cosmetics product would you reccomend?
It really all depends on what you like. I would deffinately reccommend a bath bomb. My favorites as Sex Bomb and Big Blue. You really can't go wrong with those (just be careful cause some of them have flower petals and other crazy things in them. Those bath bombs include supernova and english countryside). English Countryside smells really good but it's hell to clean up because of all of the petals.
As far as the solid soaps go, you can't go wrong with Honey I washed the kids. Its a very, soft honey sent that you will love. I also like RockStar too. Porridge is good too, you can use it as an exfolliant.
Ocean Salt Scrub is kind of expensive but it's a great exfolliant and it lasts forever. They also have great bubble bars too. You only need half a bar in order to have a tub full of bubbles. My favs for those are Ma Bar, Creamy Candy (which smells just like RockStar) and the comforter. The Comforter is really popular and it smalls like berries.

I went and bought LOTS of things from Lush (the lovely smelly shop) and they gave me a free sample of something but i didn't realise until i got home. It's one of their fresh products. They are very good in what they make altough very expensive.
I like the smells they use, what a good taste choice of natural scents!
The products are almost natural or let me say as natural as a factory could be to preserve its name and make things commercial.
Respect for nature starts with the packing (recycled plastic, they say) and methods.
I don'ty really use the products, but have a catalog and know their formulas
